We wish her all the very best for the future and thank her for the hard work and care she has dedicated to The Orchard.
However, we are delighted to welcome Dr. Maria Jones who is an excellent GP and comes highly recommended. She joined us on Monday 26th September and is already settling in well.

Welcome to The Orchard Surgery in Bromborough, Wirral

The Orchard medical practice was established in the heart of Bromborough, in 1958, when the original purpose-built - an innovation at the time - premises were erected. Over the years, the practice has evolved, keeping pace with medical advances and outgrowing that first small bungalow. Today, we are a 4 doctor partnership, offering a full range of general medical services based on modern family practice while at the same time, we believe, retaining many of the traditional qualities appreciated by patients. Our practice covers an area within an approximate 3 mile radius of Bromborough, including Eastham, other surrounding villages and parts of Bebington.

Our newly-built, enlarged premises, on the same site, opened in September 2011, allowing us to expand the range of services available to our patients. This process of innovation is continuing. The building is 2 storey, with all direct patient services situated on the ground floor.

The  premises are compliant with disability legislation and, as such, are fully accessible to people with disabilities. There are 2 designated parking bays close to the entrance of the building.

There is a new, enlarged, carpark at the front, and there is street parking to be found within a short distance, should the carpark on occasion, at busy times, be full.

Patient Participation Group

The Orchard Surgery has a PPG who meet monthly and work with the surgery team to promote the practice and review services. If you are interested in joining the group or would like more information please click on the "Patient Group" link to the right to see contact details.

We would like your feedback on the care or treatment we give you any time you visit your GP or have contact with the practice.  Please click on the link to the right "friend & family survey" and complete the short questionnaire.  We appreciate you taking the time to do this.

Extended Hours

In response to patient demand from recent surveys, from week beginning 15th September 2014 we will be offering early morning and late evening appointments.  Appointments will be available until 8pm on Wednesday evenings with a GP and healthcare assistant, 7pm on Friday evenings, and from 7:30 am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings with a GP and practice nurse.  These appointments will be pre-bookable and not for emergencies.  Emergency cover will still be available from the out of hours service at these times.  The surgery will be open for those patients with the pre-bookable appointments only.  The surgery phones will be switched over to the answer machine.

We hope this will help those patients with work, childcare, carer commitments etc who find it difficult to attend appointments during normal opening  times.
